At Ranian we take care of your personal data. This policy explains in plain words what data we receive through this website, what we use it for, who we share it with and what your rights are, in line with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP).
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Anthony Macías, who operates the Ranian brand, in Ecuador.
For any privacy question you can write to us through the contact form on this site or on WhatsApp +593 98 709 7178 (opens in a new tab).
2. What data we collect
We only collect the data you give us when you submit the contact form:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- The project type you chose.
- The message you write.
- The language of the page you write from (Spanish or English) and the date and time of submission.
In addition, when you submit the form, the server uses your IP address only to limit abusive submissions (for example, from automated programs). This information is kept temporarily in the server's memory, for a few minutes, and is neither stored nor included in the email we receive.
If you prefer to write to us on WhatsApp, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy, a service independent from this site.
3. Cookies and browser storage
This site does not use our own cookies or tracking cookies, does not save information in your browser's local storage, and does not include third-party analytics or advertising tools.
The language is determined by the address of the page you visit (for example, /en for English), not by anything saved on your device. Fonts are loaded from our own site, not from third-party servers.
Some visual effects, such as those that react to your phone's motion, run only on your device and are not sent to any server.
4. What we use your data for
We use your data to:
- Reply to the inquiry you sent us.
- If you want it, prepare a proposal for your project.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
5. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent, which you give freely when you decide to submit the contact form, after being informed in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as explained in the rights section.
6. Providers and international transfers
To make the site work and for your message to reach us, we use providers that process data on our behalf and are located in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside Ecuador:
- Vercel: hosts the website and receives your form submission. As a hosting provider, it may log technical connection data, such as the IP address, under its own policies.
- Resend: sends the content of your form to Ranian by email.
- Google (Gmail): the email with your message arrives in Ranian's inbox, where we read and answer it.
They are well-known providers that apply their own security guarantees and measures. We do not allow them to use your data for purposes other than providing their service.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and, if one arises, the business relationship. If no business relationship is established, we delete it no later than 2 years after your last message. If you exercise your right to erasure earlier, we delete it when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Your rights
The LOPDP gives you, among others, these rights over your data:
- Access: know what data of yours we hold and how we use it.
- Rectification and update: correct inaccurate or outdated data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Objection: refuse to let us use your data for a specific purpose.
- Portability: receive your data in a common format.
- Suspension of processing: ask us to temporarily stop using your data.
- Not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. We do not make this kind of decision.
To exercise any of them, write to us through the contact form or on WhatsApp +593 98 709 7178 (opens in a new tab), stating the email you used and what you want to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity to protect your data. We will reply within the period set by law.
If you believe we did not handle your request properly or that your data is not being processed correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendence of Personal Data Protection (Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales).
9. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data: communication with the site is encrypted, the form validates and limits what is sent, we use protection against automated submissions, and access to messages is limited to those who handle them. No system is completely infallible, but we work to reduce risks.
10. Minors
This site is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor sent us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or the law. We will always publish the current version on this page, with its version number and update date.
